Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale, aka Arike American professional player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. The basketball team she played for was the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to her being picked by the Wings as the 5th first overall pick in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on March 2nd, 1997, in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale, who is 26 years old, is her brother, and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years older. Her parents spoilt her the most since she was the youngest. Gregory's dad was in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale won gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship as well as the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship, and the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. The USA Youth Olympic Team was announced as the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team on the 7th of July 2014. Ogunbowale also has been named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first year of collegiate play. Even congratulated by the Kobe Bryant after she hit numerous big shots during the NCCA Tournament.
